Welcome to the blog hop with StencilGirl and Tim Holtz! I am so excited to share this project with you. Using Distress Crayons and Stencils I'm showing you how to make your own set of affirmation cards. Let's get started!
I've created a video lesson below where I take you through the steps for creating a set of cards using StencilGirl stencils and Tim Holtz Distress Crayons by Ranger Ink!
Affirmation cards are one of my favorite things to make. I love decks of all kinds, so making my own brings me twice the joy. The crayons are creamy and highly pigmented, and best of all, there are so many ways you can use them. I show you only a few in the video. I encourage you to explore and play with them to see what you can make them do. The possibilities are endless, especially when you pair them with your favorite stencils. I hope you will make a set of cards for yourself and share them on social media so I can see them. I hardly ever use stencils to outline. I forget how wonderful that is when you add your own spin.

I love the colours you used and what a great idea! I'm going to say my fave are Distress Ink Pads, but I think that's because that is what I'm most comfortable using. But with all the stuff I have seen from this blog hop I'm going to give my other supplies more of a work out :)

Thank you for showing all the different techniques. I am learning how to use my Distress Crayons which have, I'll be honest, been sitting in my drawer for a while as I never really got into them. Now I have lots of ideas!

I really enjoyed this video! The affirmation cards spoke to me. The way you made the belly band gave me an aha moment. I don't think I would have thought to make one, but would probably have used a hairband instead. The belly band makes it look so much more finished. The distress crayons are the product I am most interested in.
