What if told you that if you've been walking through the real world, engaging with others, having the experiences of being an active participant in your life, staying present, having rituals & routines, honoring cycles, and living the spiral path, that you hold a tremendous amount of wisdom? I believe that those of us walking in the muck of life right now are the ones who will leave valuable information for the generations to come. We are the ones who will help retain the ancient and ancestral past that will be lost in the transition of ushering in the next evolution of our world.

This is for those ready to write and document their journeys, their stories, their practices, their rituals, routines, and recipes. For those ready to share the knowledge that has helped them find their truth, heal, and become more whole.

This is for those who are ready to pass their wisdom down through the written word for generations/years to come.

Wisdom Keepers will have access to my yearly writing circle for generative writing. The 2023 cycle of Writing Into Winter will be accessible to all participants and can add an additional layer to your writing practice. This bonus class is optional.

The power of doing this work in community is being able to hear the stories of other Wisdom Keepers and be reminded that we often have more in common than not. You will retain access to the space for an indefinite time frame. Your access to the content of the class will span until the next cycle of Wisdom Keepers.

Each session will include invitations designed to encourage you to go beyond the writing and bring in other creative modalities to help expand your documenting.

As I listen deeply to each Wisdom Keeper share her stories I'll intuit exercises to support the writing and exploration. There may sometimes be overlap, but each writer will get at least three personalized explorations to try.

Each week I'll bring in mini lessons and prompts to connect you back to your Soul Essence using Astrology, Tarot, and Human Design. You do not need to know these tools to make connections and have a deeper conversation with your soul.

What We Will Explore

This writing circle is part class, part circle, part workshop and is designed to take you through a series of topics and writing sessions to get you started. You are expected to write in the space between sessions. Please come prepared to sit in circle (with your camera on), listen, share, and write. This is an interactive class.

Here's a taste of some of the things you can expect us to explore (not necessarily in this order).

A Plethora of Prompts

Participants can expect a significant number of prompts before, during, and after the live sessions. Prompts can fuel your writing practice and help pull out the stories that might be stuck, blocked, or fragmented. Each week you can expect to receive a number of prompts to explore. Some will call to you, others will not. Let your inner wisdom guide you.

Personal Symbology

As we document and preserve our legacies, we must leave behind a map or a legend of sorts. This is what I like to think of when it comes to personal symbols. The things we give meaning to can be meaningful to those who hear or read our stories in the future (or in the present). We will work to bring our personal symbology to the now in order to begin reconnecting to our lived patterns, cycles, and routines.

The Alchemy of Archetypes

There have always been universal energies at play and there always will be. In this writing circle we will explore several archetypes as portals to penning our stories. The use of archetypes from various traditions will give us a sense of how to write our personal mythologies and powerful narratives.

Stories of Nourishment

Most of the stories I know about my great grandma have been passed down to me while sitting around the kitchen table or on a porch with my mama, aunties, and cousins. These stories always feel like nourishment for my soul. They make me who I am and while I'm not proud of all of the stories, I am grateful for them. I'm grateful to get to know my great grandma through the memories of the matriarchs in my family. Do you have stories of nourishment? Maybe they are about your uncles or your great great grandfather on your mother's side. Maybe they are secrets that no one was ever supposed to know. We will explore these stories that nourish us.

Honoring the Sacred

Rituals, routines, patterns, habits, and cycles will all be explored and called forward. Traditions are important in families and the way we maintain tradition is by passing down the "playbook" from one generation to the next. Some things we don't want to keep, others we cherish and hope those coming up behind us will honor them as well. Maybe your life is filled with chosen family and you hope they will honor the traditions you've made with them -- Friendsgiving or Galentine's Day, for instance. What do you hold sacred? Do you know? Are these things documented?

This writing circle is designed to be a supportive space for personal exploration and creative expression through the lens of legacy, ancestral wisdom, lived experiences, and the transformative journey of crafting unique narratives of truth-seeking. Participants will be encouraged to share their stories and experiences.

Requirements

In order to have a cohesive experience, it is required for participants to:

attend at minimum of 6 of the 8 sessions
watch the replay of any missed session as soon as possible and before the subsequent session
join the private space in the LifeAlchemy Academy
complete (or at least begin) the pre-work located in the classroom by the first session (and sent to you via email when you register)
begin (and complete when possible) the assigned writing exercises and reflections between sessions
be on camera during the sessions (stepping away for a few moments during the call is fine)
