This was my crazy idea in 2021 for how I wanted to bring in my new year for 2022. I invited several art pals and all of you. We had a blast that first year, did it again to bring in 2023 and 2024, and now we're back to do it again for 2026. It's based on the old saying that..."What you are doing when the new year rolls in is what you will spend most of your year doing."
Whether that's true or not, I want to bring in my new year making art with amazing people surrounded by art supplies. And I've invited some of my favorite artsy people to play along.

How does the AMM work?
√ Registration is OPEN. √ Once you register you will gain access to PRE-RECORDED tutorials on how to make your own handmade journals for the event, a few of our favorite lessons from past marathons to get you started, and a list of supplies to have on hand. √ NEW THIS YEAR -- Starting at 6am Central Time on December 31, 2025 we will unlock one Warm Up Lesson per hour until 10am CT. These lessons are meant to get you started and going so you can have a FULL DAY of creating. And because we know some of our Non-US friends will be ready well before many of us in the United States even wake. √ At 9:50am Central Time (Chicago, USA) on December 31, 2025 we will gather online via Zoom for 20+ hours of pure joyful creative bliss. √ Teachers will provide LIVE lessons, tutorials, and demos. √ We will take several breaks to stretch, snack, rest, or refuel. Or to snag a power nap. √ During the live sessions we will have giveaways, prizes, and bonuses for those in attendance. √ All sessions are RECORDED and added to the classroom by January 6th. √ A HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT will happen somewhere during the sessions. √ Participants leave with months of techniques and creative departures for the year.
Pay $55 and get access to the live session on New Year's Eve, all WARM UP LESSONS and pre-event goodies, every live session for the full 20+ hours, AND access to select replays from previous marathons AND access to a private group in my community (hosted on the Mighty Networks platform) AND a few bonus lessons & prompts to start 2026 and keep your creative juices flowing.
Absolutely NOT. I'm the only person who will likely be at all 20 hours of the marathon. Although we do have some tried-and-true art mavericks who hang with me the entire time!!! You just need to show up when you can and when you want. You will have the chance to come in and out of the conversation as you see fit. I repeat...you do NOT need to attend all the sessions. We are recording the entire thing.
WHAT ARE THE SUPPLIES WE NEED?
A general supply list is provided in the classroom as soon as you register so that you can begin to gather your supplies. Teachers who have a specific and specialized supply will be added before the event.
How do I get extended access to the content?
When you register you'll get instant access to journal making tutorials and a few other goodies. Then a few days AFTER the event, you'll get access to all the other lessons from this year's marathon. Then, each month between January 2026 and June 2026, new lessons will unlock from previous marathons.
Do i need to be present to win a giveaway?
Yes. The only way to keep it simple and fair is to do the giveaway with those who are present during the call. We will make a list of all the things being given away and when the giveaways will be held. That way you can set your alarm clock if you want to have your name thrown in the hat.
