It's that time again!! Let's share our fountain pen stories this month. I'm looking forward to learning about the folks in my lovely community. I ran this challenge twice in 2017 and the response was amazing. If you want to join in the fun, use the #fountainpenfrenzy hashtag and post on social media (especially Instagram). If you want the PDF printable version of this, click below and grab the file. I look forward to seeing your posts and connecting with you on IG.
It brings me so much joy to have the amazing women on the StencilGirl Creative Team, and Mary Beth Shaw, using the Empowerment Edition of the Mixed Media Inspiration Deck. When I created the first version of the deck in 2012, it was really something I needed for myself. I was struggling to start and to know when a piece was done. The prompt cards helped me introduce a bit of serendipity into my practice while giving me a way to place creative constraints on myself.
Now, I use the deck pretty religiously when I am struggling to create or finding it difficult to connect to my creative inspiration. I keep a copy of the deck on my art table and even take one with me when I travel!! It's a constant companion.
There are so many different ways to use the deck that I love seeing how others interpret the prompts and how they make it fun for themselves. The most important part of using the deck is that there are no rules and when you want to, you can give yourself challenges and see what happens.
For this blog hop, I followed these guidelines...
