When I read Lisa's challenge for today I was a bit apprehensive. I had to sit with it for a few days to really figure out what to do with it and how I would interpret it. Her lettering work is so beautiful and unique that I felt a little intimidated when I saw the examples. Then yesterday, I saw this quote come across my screen TWICE -- once on Instagram and a second time on Pinterest: So I was gently reminded to bring the joy back into the process and I LOVE what resulted. TODAY'S CHALLENGE -- from Lisa DeYoung![]() Here's the challenge Lisa gave me: create a page that uses lettering, writing & color to create the visual. She even provided me with a few examples of what she meant. Here they are: After sitting with the challenge and reclaiming my joy for the process, I realized that I'm a journaler, have been all of my life, words are my thing, so I should go there. Start from a place of what's familiar and see what happens. Here's my image... I used masking fluid, watercolors, and a Sakura Gelly Roll pen. Easy peasy. And Lisa made one more image specific for this blog hop. Here is her image and you can read her blog post by CLICKING HERE. Make sure to check out all the teachers in the blog hop.
