When I was little, I wanted to be left-handed so badly. My older sister is a lefty and so was my dad. It was actually my sister who taught me how to write and I would get in trouble at school because I was holding the pencil incorrectly (according to my teachers). I was holding the pencil and angling the paper like a left-hander but I was using my right hand. It was quite something and it took me a long time to break out of it. My teacher even called my mother into the school to tell her I had to stop writing that way.
So when Amanda Trought gave me the challenge to create a page using only my non-dominant hand, I was both excited and nervous. I haven't really used my left hand much over the years (other than for typing and texting :-)
But this was rather amazing. I LOVED how free it felt to just let go. To start a page knowing it would not be perfect because you simply can't create a perfect page using your non-dominant hand if that's not something you practice. Hmmmm...practice...now that's a novel idea.
TODAY'S CHALLENGE -- from Amanda Trought
Create a page using your non-dominant hand.
Here's what I created. And I really love it.
