Blog Hop Day 10 - Nicole Piar

If you have been following along with the blog hop, you know I usually have a little intro for you and sometimes a story, but today I want to jump right to the challenge because it's a really cool idea and it kinda comes with it's own story. Here goes...

TODAY'S CHALLENGE -- from Nicole Piar

Nicole Piar (aka GhostKitten) said this about today's challenge: 

I love to use serendipity and intuition when making art so I closed my eyes, tuned in, and picked a card from my Spirit Cats Inspirational Deck just for you. You got the "Warrior" card (see pic of the card and the meaning below). Use this card as a catalyst for some inner exploration and see what art comes forth from this place. I also challenge you to use a color palette that you don't normally use. It is so interesting to step outside our habits and stretch our color wings. Nicole’s post can be found HERE.

Here's what showed up for me after I spent some time thinking about what it means to be a warrior. Nicole has combined two great colors -- that I don't think I would have put together, so I went with those. I love the unexpected combination of warrior and softer colors. AND, unlike me, I left a lot of white space on the page. ​

I also wanted to mimic at least one element of the card, so I went with the flowers.
