You can usually find a stencil somewhere in all of my mixed media projects, art journal pages, and encaustic work. Great jumping off point.

Jill!! Yes!!! Stencils are a wonderful jumping off point. I've not used them with encaustics before, so that sounds intriguing. I might have to give it a try. YAY!!!

I like use spackling paste or gesso with a stencil--to give an underlying texture to a collage piece or a journal page. Also, CONGRATULATIONS to Kiala!

Thank you Jane!!! I'm truly excited and can't wait to share. I love using modeling paste with my stencils. I've not tried spackling paste, though. That sounds like I need to give it a whirl.

Congrats on your new journey with Stencil Girls! My favorite way to use stencils is to mix a little sand with gesso. Sometimes adding a color to it. My favorite colors are fall-like. Burnt orange, sage, deep reds, copper brown with some pops of bright colors as an accent. I know ...sounds like a lot...lol

Shennita, I love the sound of fall colors with pops of bright. Doesn't sound like a lot. I bet it's beautiful.

My favorite way to use stencils is with colored texture paste, however, I frequently use my stencils to make Gelli plate prints. There are so many ways to use my stencils, these are just my two favorites. Congrats on becoming apart of the StencilGirl team!

I am busy creating a "Book of Healing" that chronicles a journey through grief. It will be on display as part of a larger art project, I couldn't be more excited! I've used stencils as the main focus of 2 pages and am HIGHLY interested in what more they could bring to my pages. Looking forward to this new path of yours. And congratulations, Kiala!

I'm new to stencils and StencilGirl, less than 12 months, but I love using stencils in my card making and art journaling, also new to me.

I love using stencils for backgrounds especially when making gift mini albums when you want to keep the layers to a minimum but gives a great punch to the page. Congratulations on making the creative design team.
